MyEtherWallet, MEW for short, is one of the most used Ethereum wallets. It is not the most user friendly, but it can be used with any paper, hardware or 3rd party wallet that you own have the private key of. In this guide we are going to use MyEtherWallet with MetaMask, although the process with any private key or Keystore file is exactly the same. If you already have and use MetaMask then you don’t need to use MEW, as you can buy TRY directly from MetaMask.
Open MEW by going to https://www.myetherwallet.com/. Then click on the second tab “Send Ether & Tokens”
Choose how you would like to access your Ethereum wallet. To copy and Paste your private key or upload your keystore file from another wallet is quick and simple.
Go to the Traderly website and open the “Buy TRY Tokens” tab. You must be logged in to view this page. Copy the Ethereum ICO address, but keep the page open as we will have to copy the transaction data in the next step.
Paste the ICO address you copied into the “To Address” and fill in the amount. Then click on “Advanced: Add Data” to enter the transaction data.
Go back to the “Buy TRY Tokens” tab on Traderly from the previous step. Copy the Transaction data under the QR code in the red box. Paste this data in the Data input. **This bit of code will execute on the ICO smart contract and instruct it to mint new TRY tokens. If you do not add this, your transaction will fail. You will not lose your funds but it will cost you a couple of cents if you forget.
If you don’t mind waiting a bit longer for your TRY tokens to arrive. You can change the Gas in the top menu. If you are only doing a small transaction, this might save you a couple cents.
Double check all the inputs and then click “Generate Transaction” Another 2 boxes will pop up, and then click “Send Transaction”.
A confirmation screen will popup. Check all the info again then click on the button “Yes, I am sure! Make Transaction” **If you are using MetaMask, then the Metamask popup will appear now for confirmation.
If your transaction was successful then a green footer will appear. Here will be a button that will open your transaction on EtherScan. This is where you can track the process and see an estimation time of the transaction.
How to see your TRY in MEW
Now that you have bought and minted your TRY tokens, you probably want to see where they are. You can accomplish this by following these quick steps.
